Student Success Statement
“In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing.”
Theodore Roosevelt

Reflection: It is always to have in mind that making the right decision can impact your life greatly. It is always better to think ahead of the future before you make any type of decision. Doing the right thing and also thinking of others while making a decision is the greatest thing you can do. Thinking of others before you do is a sign of you not being selfish and being caring for others.
“Life Planning Progress Post”

In my life planning book, I’ve achieved 10 goals out of the 100 goals I’ve listed down. Most of my goals are for me to achieve later on in life when I’m older and when I have a stable job with my family. I did not know how many goals I had for myself until I wrote them down in this notebook. Since the beginning of the book till now I can say it’s made my goals be more precise and in the order my life is going I thought about the present and the future so it was not that hard. It has been a cool journey to write down these future goals because I did not also know how much I want to achieve and how big my goals are. I’m very proud of the things I want to achieve and I know I will be able to afford everything I listed down in my life planning.
Medical Surveillance Technician
Duties & Responsibilities: Medical screening and medical surveillance are two fundamental strategies for optimizing employee health. Although the terms are often used interchangeably, they are quite distinct concepts. Medical screening is, in essence, only one component of a comprehensive medical surveillance program. The fundamental purpose of screening is early diagnosis and treatment of the individual and thus has a clinical focus.
Salary: Unknown
Education: requirements are generally clinically focused (e.g.,medical and work histories, physical assessment, biological testing) with information obtained from the clinical processes used in the monitoring and analysis elements of medical surveillance.

Reflection: I wouldn’t want to be a medical surveillance technician the entire job seems too dull. There really is not specific information for this job other than that you do surveillance at optimizing someone’s health. This isn’t really what I aspire for in life, and to add on there is no salary known of a medical surveillance technician, nor do I believe this job exisits.

Summary

In the video a senior Sara Tucholsky had never hit a home run and at last she did but she paid the price for it. During a game with a rival team she ended up touring up her knee ligament causing her not to play anymore due to the injury.  As she was running through the bases I guess she ran to hard and fell and tore her ligament. Luckily two girls from the other team were there to help her up and complete the home run. It was a good act of good sportsmanship.

“It’s a great moment when someone has character to step up and do the right thing at the right time.”
Pam Knox

Reflection: Doing everything right and with character is a positive thing to be doing. When you help someone in the time of need you’re helping that person at the right time because they are in need of it. It is also a positive thing when someone steps up to the plate, takes charge, and helps anyone else even if it is a small thing you leave a good impression and end up leaving with positive feelings. In addition I agree with this statement all the way because it reflects a lot on what other people have done for me and what I have done for them in their time of need. All in all this quote is something someone should take seriously and it is something someone should put into practice.
Medical Illustrator
Duties & Responsibilities: professional artist with specialized training and advanced education in medicine, science, art, design, visual technology, media techniques, and in theories related to communication and learning.
Salary: $62,000
Education: In College, students should concentrate on art and biology. Art courses should include drawing, life drawing, painting, color theory, graphic design, illustration, and computer graphics. In the sciences, students should include general biology or zoology, vertebrate anatomy, developmental biology, physiology, chemistry, and cell biology. The science courses must be of the caliber required for science majors.

Reflection: Being a medical illustrator seems like a good job for someone that is really into animation and drawing or mapping things out for a medical professor or a doctor. The job does pay well, but this is something I might not look into in my future only because this is not in my interests. The human body is something that Is very extraordinary but it is a subject that has not gotten my attention quickly. I also want to maybe pursuit a career where it has to do with non-medical procedures and stuff like that. All in all, this is not my cup of tea but to many people I am sure it is a very interesting job.

Ten Indian Commandments
1.         Treat the Earth and all the dwells there in with respect.
2.       Remain close to the Great Spirit
3.        Show great respect to your fellow beings
4.       Work together for the benefit of mankind
5.       Give assistance and kindness where ever needed.
6.       Do what you know to be right
7.       Look after the well-being of mind and body
8.       Dedicate a share of your efforts to the greater good
9.       Be truthful and honest at all times
10.     Take full responsibility for your actions

Reflection: Everything someone always does should be done with purpose and with love including honesty. It is always a good thing to share your accomplishments with others and spread the love and positives you've done with others. Making other people feel good and having them take part in your mission which is to not be full of greed but to share with others is a great way to show what life is full of.

“A promise must never be broken.”
Alexander Hamilton

Reflection: Being able to trust another person and having the privilege to talk to them in a certain way should be taken as an honor. Not a lot of people talk to the certain individual in the way you do. Always keeping a promise will reflect on your honesty and how real you are to yourself. It also tests how capable you are in keeping your promise and how much effort and endurance you take upon keeping that certain promise. Once you break a promise you get distrust and unnecessary negativity that you do not need. All in all if you cannot keep a promise why even commit to one and make one if you cannot be true to yourself or the other person.

Student Led Conference Reflection

Throughout the whole student led conference experience from beginning to end it was not that much of a hassle for me. I had nothing to hide from my mom nor had a problem with collecting work I had to gather to show my mom. I also had no problem with picking my time or getting confused with it because the appointment I picked worked for me and my mom. Some suggestions I have to improve upon student led conference is to keep my grades up, do my work, and just work my butt of this semester to have a good ending school year and to make my parents proud of my hard work and how hard I worked to improve my grades and show them that I can finish my junior year off strong. All in all my student led conference went off good and I was satisfied with what my grades were and over all the whole conference.

Medical Assistant
Duties & Responsibilities: Medical assistants complete administrative and clinical tasks in the offices of physicians, podiatrists, chiropractors, and other health practitioners. Their duties vary with the location, specialty, and size of the practice.
Salary: $29,370
Education: Medical assistants have postsecondary education such as a certificate. Others enter the occupation with a high school diploma and learn through on-the-job training.

Reflection: Being a medical assistant seems like a well job if you're barely starting out. The job seems pretty interesting and time consuming. Even though this job seems really cool I would not like to work as a medical assistant. I would not like to be a medical assistant because I know I can do better and I can earn a better job than just being a medical assistant. In addition, I know what I’m capable of doing and this is not my cup of tea.

“What you see is what you get.”
Anonymous

Reflection: Anyone can achieve anything if they are on a righteous pursuit. Anything is possible to accomplish but it only takes an individual’s perseverance, determination, and ambition for something. Having a desire to be something in life and accomplish big things in life will forever be rewarding. Always looking in the mirror and seeing what you are is what you get. Your self-appearance says a lot of what type of a person you are whether you are lazy or not. As this quote says what you see is what you get is only the truth.

“Goodness is the only investment that never fails.”
Henry Davis Thoreau

Student Success Statement
“My basic principle is that you don't make decisions because they are easy; you don't make them because they are cheap; you don't make them because they're popular; you make them because they're right.”
Theodore Hesburgh

Reflection: Life choices will always be a subject that affects an individual for their whole life. It is always wise to make decisions that will benefit you your whole life time and that will later on give you success. If you make poor decisions and pick desire over anything else than that’s where you make mistakes and karma will take its place later on. Decisions will forever have to be made in life and making the right ones that will make you successful and that will never leave you in hunger for something else are the right ones. All in all, it is up to an individual to pick what they want and if they want to struggle than that’s on them but if they do not than that’s a positive thing.
Licensed Practical Nurse
Duties & Responsibilities: a nurse who cares for people, who are sick, injured, convalescent, or disabled. LPNs used to be under the direction of registered nurses and are now under physicians.
Salary: $41,540
Education: Need a high school diploma or GED to apply for an LPN educational training program.

Reflection:  Being this type of nurse is something I would not like to do. I aspire for bigger goals and dreams and this is not it. As a normal human being I am aware that in life I’m going to have a lot of responsibilities and so I don’t think being a nurse will help ease the stress. I also know what I am capable of doing so the salary for this job does not satisfy me as well because being independent is not cheap.  All in all I know I will get a better job and this is not it.

“It is our duty to concentrate all our influence to make popular which is sound and good, and unpopular that which is unsound.”
Joseph Smith Jr

Reflection: It is always a human beings duty to conduct a righteous life and live healthy and obey all the rules our heavenly father has left for us to follow. If you do not follow these rules you are basically harming yourself and indulging into negative lifestyle choices and vibes. It is always a positive thing to take some time and read the word of god and just reflect if you've been following his sayings and what not. All in all it is always better to choose the right and live that righteous life our lord wants us to live and achieve in his sacred name.
Home Health Aide
Duties & Responsibilities:  Home Health Aides usually always do not just work in a home but in other places as well. They care for a single client at a time, but may have several clients to visit in one day. They are usually supervised by a patient’s healthcare provider and sometimes by a patient’s family members. Case length may vary from a few weeks to many years. Shift work is sometimes necessary.
Salary: $21,020
Education: There really is not any education needed to become a HHA but in similar cases some training is required. HHA’s also need to pass a required exam.

Reflection: Being a Home Health Aide seems like a well job to me. I would consider doing this as a side job as well from my main job. I would love to care for elderly people and people that are in need of help. Being generous and doing something for people and their wellbeing is priceless. I also enjoy working with professional people so I would not mind caring for others.  All in all being a Home Health Aide can be taken as a reward because you’re doing something positive and it is worth the while.
