Currently right now a lot of violent events are happening with the terrorist group ISIS. Refugees seek asylum in the neighboring countries around Syria, mostly in Turkey. The living conditions in Turkey are not good at all. Most people that fled their home countries are living in tents provided by the government I believe, but since the tents are in a dessert and winter is coming the people need to move because the dust will become mud. Too add on, there also is no money to keep providing refugees with shelter and food and the basic needs they need to survive.
Trauma Nurse
Duties & Responsibilities: responding quickly to a wide variety of single- and multisystem trauma involving different patient needs, ages, cultures, and severity of presenting symptoms.
Salary: $60,000 to $70,000
Education: RN with AD, Diploma, or BSN (preferred)

Reflection: Being a trauma nurse sounds like something I probably would do. A trauma nurse earns good money and it seems kind of fun. I will probably look at this subject later on in the future.

Student Success Statement
“Obedience is the great test of life.”

Thomas S. Monson

Reflection: Obedience is always a constant battle with people, not only with kids, teenagers, but with adults as well. Obedience is something an individual choses to follow, but with the lack of obedience comes consequences. Every day we test ourselves to see if we can obey our parents’ wishes or go against what they say. At the end of the day our decisions affect us greatly.
Biomedical engineer
Duties and Responsibilities: Develop artificial body parts for medical reasons, and set up engineered therapies too add on they work with computer software’s in their careers too come up with answers.
Salary:  $79,500 Median
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering and need to major in biomedical engineering.

Reflection: Being a biomedical engineer is a good paying job. It’s not in my interest but I’ll probably look into it in my future. The job seems kind of confusing and it takes a lot of years of education to get this job. It’s not in my interest but I’ll certainly look into it.

Student Success Statement
“Obedience is central to becoming, being, and remaining happy.”

David Bednar

Reflection: I think this statement has a lot of meaning. Being obedience always gets you a reward, and that is happiness, rewards, and much more. For instance when I’m being obedient it feels great to do good and think positive.
Cosmetology
Duties and Responsibilities: Cosmetologists are in charge of being a hair stylist and also doing peoples make up for big events, and working on their skills.

Reflection: Being a cosmetologist is something that interests me a lot. I have a passion for make-up and hair styling. It’s something that entertains me on a daily basis. Being a cosmetologist helps you expand your skills and abilities to work with make-up and hair. I just think it’s a great subject and something you can become creative with.

2005 happened to be a shameful year for football player Reggie Bush. He was awarded for being player of the year considering all the success he had brought to his football team USC. In reality he was falsely playing the games and going against the rules and violations. Bush had been accepting lavish gifts from fledgling sport marketers hoping to sign him knowing that he was suspended from playing games his coaches still went ahead and let him play knowing they were doing wrong. Later on he was striped from his award and he happened to be the first player in the 75 years history to be stripped from such a prestigious award. This moment will always be in history and it will leave a mark in football history forever.
Student Success statement
“Obedience sums up our entire duty”

Hosea Ballou

Reflection: I kind of don’t get what this statement is supposed to mean but I’m pretty sure it means something good. Obedience is something everyone has at times, some don’t apply it in their daily lives but they know what it is what it means and how it looks like.
Autogenic Training
Duties & Responsibilities: Basically Verbal Commands That You Send Your Body To Breath, Move, Control, And Just The Basic Stuff You Need To Do To The Body.
Salary:  $35,000 - $142,000
Education: I would guess you’ll need to take a class on anatomy because obviously you’re working with the body.

Reflection: Being an autogenic training seems like something I wouldn’t want to do. The parts of the body that they work on kind of don’t seem interesting. Also because it’s just not in my interest and I didn’t even know this type of job even existed.

“The more obedient we are the more freedom we have.”
Boyd K. Packer

Reflection: This statement actually makes sense. Being obedient is a good thing and it benefits a lot in the long run. Being obedient can gain you a lot of freedom, and it’s true. For example when I listen to what my mom has to tell me and I obey her orders later on she repays me with something I want or she takes me out.
Auricular Therapy
Duties & Responsibilities: The therapist basically knows every part of the ear and applies medicine to it with a steady hand.
Salary: $38,000 – $137,000
Education: A Bachelor’s Degree, A Doctorate, masters, and a certificate.

Reflection: Being an auricular therapist seems kind of boring. I hate needles and I wouldn’t stand having to know that I have to place them insides people’s ears. It’s a good paying job but just thinking about needles it sounds painful and something that weakens my stomach.

911 Memorial
September 11 will be a day no one will ever forget. This happens to be the saddest day everyone ever had to live, and till today you can feel what the attack left behind. This was the day where 19 militants associated with the Islamic terrorist’s group al-Qaeda hijacked four airliners and carried out suicide attacks against targets in the United States. Two of the planes crashed heavily into the world trade center’s twin towers in New York City destroying world trade 4, 5, and 6 including the command center. Than later on a third plane crashed into the pentagon just outside Washington D.C, and the fourth plane crashed right outside Pennsylvania.
This Tragic terrorist attack left the U.S in extensive death and destruction. Over 3,000 people were killed in the twin towers and in Washington. The attack left more than 400 police officers and fire fighter dead. Sadly, when this happened I was too little to reminisce on this day but it affects me just as greatly as it affects us Americans who were there to recall this day.  Just as everyone pays their respects to these courageous peoples that sacrificed everything to save lives, I hold them greatly in my prayers.

Reflection: These terrorist attacks made me feel disgusted, sad, and just shocked. I could not believe the measures al-Qaida took to destruct the United States and kill our people. This will always be a day everyone will grieve for and till today you can still feel this act of terrorism and it’s almost like the aftershock of the 9/11 Attacks. The courageous people who sacrificed everything and their lives will be forever in my prayers, only they know what they felt.

Student Success Statement
“The key to freedom is obedience.”

Boyd K. Packer

Reflection: Obedience is a very important characteristic. People should learn that even as a little toddler to obey and do what they’re told. In the long run it can be helpful but obeying to the wrong things can be wrong.
Obedience
Definition: Compliance with a law, order, request, or law or submission to another’s authority.
Similar words: compliance, amenability
Examples: For instance when a child does what he or she is told. Or when you listen to whatever your parents say that’s being obedient.

Audiologist
Duties & Responsibilities: Audiologist basically works with an individual’s ear. They test the individuals hearing and fit and dispense hearing aids. They also evaluate the hearing and speech of someone to give them the diagnoses.
Salary: $65,000 – $73,000
Education:
1. A bachelor’s degree, required courses in math physics, anatomy, and physiology. Communication programs that prepare them for audiology.

Reflection: Being an audiologist sounds like a dull job. I don’t think picking that as a job will satisfy me enough in my working career. I would want to push for something better than being an audiologist. They do make good money but it’s not in my interest.

“What you are as a person is far more important than what you are as a basketball player.”

John Wooden

Reflection:  Since I don’t play basketball I can’t relate to what he is trying to say, but I’m sure it’s a good thing. He probably means that you’re self-worth is really important whether you play a sport or not. You don’t need to play any sport to define yourself as a person.
Athletic Trainer
Duties & Responsibilities:  Usually they check out the player’s injury to make sure that it isn’t serious. They decide whether or not to send the player to a physician to get the injury properly checked out. They also put to practice their medical strategies to help out the athlete.
Salary:  $35,000 - $75,000
Education:   degree from an accredited athletic training curriculum. Accredited programs include formal instruction in areas like injury/illness prevention, first aid and emergency care, assessment of injury/illness, human anatomy and physiology, therapeutic modalities, and nutrition.

Reflection: Being an athletic trainer is something I would probably want to do. It seems like a fun job and seems time consuming. Most of the time when it comes down to working as a person that has to do with athletes I would probably not make that as my first choice, simply because I just don’t know nothing about sports nor the common injuries that come along with the certain sport.

Student Success Statement
“Your past is not your potential.”

Marilyn Ferguson

Reflection: This quote is actually encouraging. We shouldn’t let our past affect us in our current future and we should strive for success and not failure. No one’s perfect but it does not hurt to try in life at all. It takes determination and endurance to want in life because if you don’t want something you’ve got nothing.
Anesthesiologist
Duties & Responsibilities: Anesthesiologists are the physicians trained to administer anesthesia given during a surgical procedure. They are also responsible for managing and treating changes in your critical life functions - breathing, heart rate, and blood pressure - as they are affected by the surgery being performed.

Education:   completing a four year bachelor's degree, students then take four years of graduate education leading to a degree in medicine (M.D.). After receiving a medical degree, students must complete four more years in an anesthesiology residency.

Reflection:  Being an anesthesiologist sounds like something I would be interested in. To start off they make a lot of money, their salary is pretty good its stable and you can tell financially they’re pretty good. It will probably be something ill definitely look into in the future.
