“I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I must stand with anybody that stands right and stand with him while he is right, and part with him when he goes wrong.”

Abraham Lincoln

Reflection: Abraham Lincoln spits nothing but the truth. I agree with his statement because when someone is doing something right and positive in their life all you have to do is stand with them and support them. If someone is doing something bad and negative it is always better to walk away and not let their negativity rub off on you. When someone is not doing the right thing why stand with them and let the actions they are doing affect you and your life choices. In addition, it is always better to stick with someone that is making the right decisions and is striving in life rather than being a huge loser and not doing anything with ambition and prosperity.
April fool’s Day
1.         April fools Is in the first day of April.
2.       The purpose of Aprils fool day is to just fool around and joke around with people and have fun.
3.       A theory of April fool’s day is that it has been around for a long time and that it might have been a holiday back then
4.       Some pros and cons are that some people may take this day to far and hurt somebody or damage property. Another one is that people have fun in a positive way and enjoy themselves.

5.       There are at least two difficulties with this explanation. The first is that it doesn't fully account for the spread of April Fools' Day to other European countries. The Gregorian calendar was not adopted by England until 1752, for example, but April Fools' Day was already well established there by that point. The second is that we have no direct historical evidence for this explanation, only conjecture, and that conjecture appears to have been made more recently.

“Character is higher than intellect.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Reflection: Being intellectual will get you somewhere good and high, but character always counts no matter what you’re doing. Character can impact how people see you as and what people might feel about you. Being mentally intellectually is something positive I’m not opposing it but always adding character to your work and to your everyday work is always something positive. In addition, if you show ambition in your work and you’re being a good person it can always take you a long way and it will make people want to work with you and socialize with you primarily in the work area. In conclusion intellectuality and character always matters, but it only takes if you’re willing to do it in a positive way.
Health Sciences Librarian
Duties & Responsibilities: provides access to medical information through books, pamphlets, journals, tapes, multimedia presentations, and the Internet. Health science librarians help health providers, patients, and students sort through the vast amount of information available.
Salary: Average $58,000
Education: must graduate from high school, taking classes such as English, math, typing, and science. A four-year bachelor's degree is then required, including courses such as science and computer science. A master's degree in library science (MLS) is mandatory. Courses include scientific literature, biomedical communication, bibliographic resource use, library organization and management, and standard cataloging systems.

Reflection: Being a health science librarian is something I might look into the future. I love helping people out especially when it comes to medical stuff and I love encouraging people to self-advocate and be a help to others as well. I also would like to get this job because I like educating people and making them aware of new health innovations or anything that has to do with the medical field. There is also so much information available out there in the world so it is also good to inform people as a librarian and letting them know options available out there.  In conclusion, a health science librarian can help an individual go a long way and get educated.

“I trust my hard work will pay off.”
Tyler Haws

Reflection: I agree with Tyler Haws statement that hard work will pay off. I've had numerous occasions where I've bust my butt off to earn good grades and make my work as perfect as it can be and all of my work paid off. I ended up passing my class and not having to worry about me failing my class or having to make up work or anything of that, and it made me proud. I'm the type of person that if I put my mind to it I will accomplish it no matter what the circumstances are and show determination and ambition in my work. It is always a blessing to know that you’ve come a long way to accomplish one certain goal and to know that our heavenly father was there all along guiding you through the process in accomplishing your goal and guiding you in the right path. I will be forever grateful in my performance in school and I will not settle for less but strive for the best.

Jewish Holocaust
In January 1933, some 522,000 Jews by religious definition lived in Germany. Over half of these individuals, approximately 304,000 Jews, emigrated during the first six years of the Nazi dictatorship, leaving only approximately 214,000 Jews in Germany proper (1937 borders) on the eve of World War II.
In the years between 1933 and 1939, the Nazi regime had brought radical and daunting social, economic, and communal change to the German Jewish community. Six years of Nazi-sponsored legislation had marginalized and disenfranchised Germany's Jewish citizenry and had expelled Jews from the professions and from commercial life. By early 1939, only about 16 percent of Jewish breadwinners had steady employment of any kind. Thousands of Jews remained interned in concentration camps following the mass arrests in the aftermath of Kristallnacht (Night of the Broken Glass) in November 1938.

“True independence and freedom can only exist in doing what’s right.”
Brigham Young

Reflection: If you do what is right in every aspect of your life, than everything will go as planned. If you do what is wrong then everything cannot go right and not as planned. Being honest to yourself and life is the best thing to do if you want everything to be perfect and positive. In addition, doing what is right can leave a good feeling in your heart because you’re doing something good and not leaving any harm behind. All in all, everyone can gain freedom and independence but only the ones that gain it the right and positive way will prosper and live a happy life.

Global Jobs
1.         Dubai: Accounting, Beauty, Clerical, Health Care, Web Developers.
Russia: PR Manager, Engineer, Database Administrator, Sales Manager.
China: Native English Teacher, Sales, Electronics Designer Engineer.
Korea: Enterprise Tech, Supply Chain Management, Marketing Specialist.

2.       I would love to work in these foreign countries because they seem time consuming and some countries lack these positions being filled. Also because you might get paid good because of the lack of the jobs being filled. In addition, I would also like to work abroad because I would want to discover new people, a new environment, and see what living in a different country is.  All in all working in a new country can be fun for me and I would like to help people out and manage different things.

Life

I am anxiously waiting to graduate next year out of high school, and to attend a good university. I really want to make my parents proud and get out of high school with all my classes passed and having everything on track for my future.  I can't wait to start applying for colleges, and just see where I’m going to spend my future years of school in. I want to apply to UCLA, CSUN, and CSULA, because I do not want to go somewhere far and be far away from my family because I usually get really homesick if I am gone for a long period of time. I want to major in Sociology, Psychology, or anything else that has to do with Law. I already have an idea in mind about what I want to do primarily for the rest of my life, and I know it will be worth it. I just want a good job where I won’t have to worry about bills nor financial problems and where I can gain a vast majority of knowledge.

St. Patrick’s Day
1.         He was a 5th-century Romano-British Christian missionary and bishop in Ireland. Known as the "Apostle of Ireland", he is the primary patron saint of Ireland.
2.       St. Patrick's Day celebrates the Roman Catholic feast day of the patron saint of Ireland.
3.       It’s designated where it is because St Patrick died around March 17.
4.       Green is one of the three colors in the Irish flag.
With its lush, green landscape, Ireland is known as the "Emerald Isle."
Green is the color of spring.
Green is the color of the shamrock.

5.       Saint Patrick's feast day, as a kind of national day, was already being celebrated by the Irish in Europe in the ninth and tenth centuries. In later times, he became more and more widely known as the patron of Ireland. Saint Patrick's feast day was finally placed on the universal liturgical calendar in the Catholic Church due to the influence of Waterford-born Franciscan scholar Luke Wadding.

Summary: In this middle school located in Olivet, Michigan, some football team made a courageous move on their part. They made this other peer with disabilities make a touchdown. It’s a touchy subject because most kids with disabilities don’t get accepted into society as much and most kids would just avoid them and not talk to them. In addition, the football players for the middle school letting in the disabled kid is a wonderful empowering thing to watch because the boys are not judging this kid nor bullying him, so it’s always nice to see something new and refreshing happening around the world.

They're only truly great who are truly good.”
George Chapman

Reflection: I agree with George Chapman’s statement written above. If you’re doing everything a positive, healthy way then you're a good person emotionally and physically. Drugs and alcohol can ruin your appearance and make you look horrible in the inside and outside. This is why as a person you decide to do the right things and decide to not go down a bad path filled with negativity and regret. In addition, if you’re doing everything the right way then life will be nothing but positive and prosperous.
Volunteer Opportunities
2. Hospice Patient Care
Kaiser Permanente Hospice volunteer
Silverado Hospice, Los Angeles
Providence Trinity Care Hospice
California Hospital Medical Center
These jobs require for an individual to be taken care of in the last final days of their life. The individual has to provide for them and make them feel comfortable and cheerful I suppose. You also have to take care of them feed them, and just do the normal things maybe a patient assistant might do. In addition in the California Hospital Medical Center a nutritionist is needed to help with patient’s diets and food related issues. These places are all located around the wilshire los angeles area

3. If you are still in school, your first step should be to talk to your academic or pre-health advisor. Also, check to see if there is an office of community service or student activities on campus that maintains a website or database. Be sure to join premed or service clubs since they’re one of the best ways to hear about volunteer openings, make friends, and find out about opportunities, conferences, resources, and research positions for premeds. You can also contact hospitals, clinics, labs, research facilities, charities, foundations, or other organizations directly as many have volunteer opportunities listed online.

“Many think that the short term game will be worth a long term pain, but it isn’t In addition, using steroids is cheating, and there is nothing worse in sports than a cheater. Don’t do it.”
George Mitchell

Reflection: Cheating is never the right answer to turn on. Cheating can have a life time effect on you and it will stay engraved in your memory. Cheating will always come back and bite you in the butt making you look bad and ridiculous. There are always better methods to achieve things without cheating and lying. At the end of the day the individual doing wrong is the one that is going to be affected long term.

“I won’t cheat.”
Dale Murphy

Reflection: Being a liar and a fool will not get you anywhere. Lying can make everything worse, and it can make a person look wrong. Cheating can lead to lying, and doing something unfairly. Cheating is not the easy way out, because sooner or later it will come back to bite you in the butt. In addition, not cheating and doing everything right will have a good and positive outcome.
Oncologist
Duties & responsibilities: A physician who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. They have the role to explain the cancer diagnosis and the meaning of the disease stage to the patient; discuss various treatment options; recommend the best course of treatment; deliver optimal care; and improve quality of life both through curative therapy and palliative care with pain and symptom management.
Salary: $217,856

Admission to an accredited school is next, a competitive and selective process that typically requires a passing score on the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT).

Reflection: Being an Oncologist is something I would not like doing. How can you tell another human being they have cancer and they can die from it? Cancer to me is a sensitive subject and really sad I would not like to have to experience that. Of course oncologist are doing their job in finding treatments and letting the individual know they have cancer but, to me I’m not comfortable in doing that. The job does pay good, but I would want to do something more lenient and not so heavy.

“Character matters most.”

Dale Murphy

Reflection: This statement is true because if you're a positive person good things will come your way; if you're not then bad things will come your way. Always being cheerful and happy is the best character to be.  Enthusiasm matters, being happy matters, and also showing pride in what you do matters. Being happy and social will help you get through the day and make people want to talk to you. In addition being a great person can make you more approachable by normal individuals. Character counts a lot in life and if you're doing well and living righteous then you'll be blessed with a lot of things life can give you. On the other hand if you're showing bad character than what is the point of life blessing you if you are not taking nothing serious.
Heliotherapy
Duties & Responsibilities: a key part of certain treatment regimens for tuberculosis, notably tuberculosis of the bones, joints and skin, as prolonged exposure to sunlight can kill the bacteria which cause the disease. Being in the sun also helps make way to make more vitamin D in an individual system.
Salary: 0$
Education: You have to study therapeutic techniques.

Reflection: This job is ridiculous and something I would not do. Why waste my time doing research if there really is not something on this subject. To me this “job” seems boring and uninteresting I do not know why this is even a job. There really is not any information to persuade me to even consider this as a future job let alone research about it. This job is not for me its dull I do not really know what it has to do with.

“Great beauty, great strength, and great riches are really and truly of no great use; a right heart exceeds all.”
Benjamin Franklin

Reflection: Life is not always about materialistic things, it’s all about how you carry yourself and honesty. Materialistic things will not get you good in life other than just unappreciative about what life really is about. Life is so precious, and it matters if you do what is right. No one wants to live life knowing they got everything they ever wanted but, that haven’t achieved any heart warming actions.
Health Educator
Duties & Responsibilities: Health educators teach people about behaviors that promote wellness. They develop and implement strategies to improve the health of individuals and communities. Community health workers collect data and discuss health concerns with members of specific populations or communities.
Salary: $48,790.
Education: Health educators need a bachelor’s degree. Many employers require the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) credential. Requirements for community health workers vary, although they typically have at least a high school diploma and must complete a brief period of on-the-job training.

Reflection: Being a health educator is something I would not do as my job. The job seems dull and it is not grabbing my attention. The job pays really good, but I know I can aspire to do more than just that. In addition, the job also has a lot of requirements and I do not want to spend most of my life working to just be a health educator.
