Acupressure
Duties and Responsibilities: An Acupressurist is a licensed practioner
who’s trained to insert needles in patient’s skin in order to target locations
and treat pain and disorders. Acupuncturist’s also provide therapy and
prescribe herbal treatments to patients.
Salary: $23,300 – $98,620
Education: To become an Acupressurist you must receive
and undergraduate degree of four years through college and major in science also
taking anatomy and physiology related courses. It’s also required to take
formal training to become an acupressurist.
Reflection: I don’t think this would be something I would
like to study or major on. The human anatomy is nothing I would want to expand
my knowledge on because it just does not interest me generally. It can be a
good job for other people but I don’t think sticking needles in other people’s
body can satisfy me enough. Other than that, the salary is pretty good but I have
other goals in life I want to achieve.
