Memorial Day is a Federal Holiday in the
United States for remembering the people who died while serving in the country's armed forces.

The purpose of Memorial Day is to
remember the people who have given their life for our nation and for our
happiness and future.

Memorial Day is on the last Monday of
May.

Some ways we could show honor and respect
on Memorial Day is to just give a moment of silence for all the people that
have passed before us and to just celebrate the lives people have given for the
country.

Congress passed a law in 2000 that
requires all Americans to stop what they are doing at 3pm on Memorial Day to
remember and to honor those who have died serving the United States. President
Clinton signed this action.
A couple of things i will do to honor this day is just pay my respects to everyone who has passed before me and to just pray God has them in his kingdom safe and sound.
